Student Clubs and Activities


All Pro Dad

All Pro Dad is a special program at CHVE that offers dads the chance to spend meaningful, quality time with their children before school. Through monthly gatherings, fathers and kids connect over guided discussions on important topics, fostering deeper relationships.



CHESS

Chess is offered for all ability levels. Students will be introduced to all phases of the game including etiquette, tactics and strategies. National Master, Todd Bardwick, will be offering Chess on Tuesday Afternoons in the Library from 2:50 - 3:45. Todd will teach the first half hour and the kids will play against each other the second half hour while Todd gives tips and suggestions.

 

 


CLAW CLUB

CLAW Club (Clean Land, Air & Water) is CHVE's long standing environmental club. We explore different topics, such as urban ecology and climate change and what kids can do to make a difference. CHVE's CLAW club will meet once a month on a Monday in Ms. Simon's Kindergarten classroom. We will meet from 2:45- 3:40. Pick will be in the bus loop at 3:40. Reminders will be sent by email prior to the meeting. The dates are: Sept. 23, Oct. 21, Nov. 18, Dec. 16, Jan. 27, Feb. 24, Mar. 24, Apr. 21 and May 5.

 

CODING & ROBOTICS 

Students will learn about 3D design, modeling and printing, engineering and robotics including coding in Minecraft. STEAM concepts with real-world problems: Students will learn how to use STEAM concepts in their everyday life and apply it to coding. 

 
 
 
 

CREATIVE DANCE KIDS

A high-energy dance form that uses the latest age appropriate Hip Hop and Pop music coupled with dance steps influenced by some of today's finest dance choreographers. Students will learn the trendy  hip hop style of today as well as old school, and always emphasizes dancers finding their own individual swagger and style.

TENNIS & PICKLEBALL

Tennis or pickleball? Why choose one when you can learn both! We spend half of the time playing tennis, and the other half playing pickleball. Both are super fun and easy to learn. We provide specialized balls, portable nets, and small racquets for little hands.

  
 

DOLPHIN CLUB - AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Dolphin Club is the After School Care program for Cherry Hills Village Elementary. This program is available to any children who are currently attending CHVE.

 

 

 

 

 

 


GIRLS ON THE RUN

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd through 5th grade.

 

 

 


GIRL SCOUTS

Our troop is for 1st grade girls, and is, unfortunately, at capacity. Although are not accepting more girls, please reach out to us to join the wait list. And any interested parents who are looking to start another troop at CHVE for different grades should contact us to learn more! We'd be happy to help you start your own troop!

CHOIR CLUB

Calling all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders! Come enjoy making music with your friends after school in a relaxed environment!  Choir Club is meant for students that have an interest in music and want to have fun learning and singing together - the more, the merrier! 

  

 

CHIMES

 

Chimes aims to introduce 5th grade students to the joy and fundamentals of playing chimes, fostering a love for music and teamwork. The club provides a creative outlet and a foundational music education experience that emphasizes cooperation, rhythm, and musical expression.

 


 

Reach Out (grades K-5)

All Students are welcome to join Reach Out, our CHVE after-school club dedicated to providing meaningful, hands-on,age-appropriate community service projects for students and their families.

Our after-school enrichment curriculum draws primarily from the SFM level 1 and Level 2 Piano Workbooks along with specialized games, harmonic and rhythmic ear training, and learning songs. Every student has their own keyboard and headphones in class and after discussing concepts as a group students are then able to immediately implement them. The learning environment is extremely fun, engaging, and upbeat.

 


 

STUDENT COUNCIL

 

Student Council is a select group of students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade who demonstrate leadership, trustworthiness, honesty, integrity and responsibility.

 

What is the purpose of Student Council?

 

*Develop Leadership skills

*Promote communication between students, teachers and administration

*Provide opportunities for students to participate in school and community projects.

KidStage is a theatre and acting class for kids! The curriculum includes concentration, teamwork, improvisation, movement, voice and basic theatre terminology. At the end of the class, KidStage kids will perform for peers and parents. All classes are taught by trained instructors, whose goal it is to teach your child about the excitement of theatre, improve your child’s self-confidence, and to provide a safe, fun and interesting environment. KidStage will strengthen your child’s confidence as well as build teamwork, leadership, reading, and vocabulary!

 


 

Fourth and fifth graders are given the opportunity to participate in the Battle of the Books Literacy Club!  Students of all reading levels are invited to participate.
